Lourdes Matha Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology have provided boundless weightage for sports and games from its inception. The college is proud that almost all major games have been introduced within a short span of time. The college is providing ample opportunities for students to excel in sports and games in the university and state level tournaments with rigour and enthusiasm. The college aims at developing an all round personality through sports and games, which results in the intellectual, moral and physical development of the students.

The college is having a well furnished department for physical education. The college possess indoor facilities for playing caroms, chess and table tennis and outdoor facilities for performing volleyball, basketball, cricket, shuttle badminton, ball badminton, soft ball and hand ball. The swimming pool and a 400 metre athletic track is nearing completion and a full fledged multi gymnasium is on the anvil.
