Lourdes Matha Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology under the Archdiocese of Changanacherry, invites applications for 4-year Hotel Management (BHMCT-120 seats) and 3-year BVoc Food Processing (30 seats) degree for the academic year 2020-21. Both the courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to the University of Kerala, Striving to be the best Hotel Management college in Kerala, that offers 3 year BVoc Food Processing and the 4 year Bachelors degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology.
BHMCT provides vital inputs to meet the ever-increasing demands and expectations of entrepreneurs as well as corporates. Hotel Management is an ever-changing business that constantly challenges and explores the territory of marketing and cuisine. BHMCT equips the students in hotel and food operations to meeting conventions and expositions with participating business in leading hotel industries having tie-up and association with LMIHMCT.
B.Voc Food Processing is an undergraduate course based on higher education leading to B.Voc. degree under the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF). It imparts appropriate and relevant knowledge on Food Processing Industry to equip the young graduates with adequate knowledge and skills for employment and entrepreneurship in the food industry.
Lourdes Matha Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (LMIHMCT) have tie up with NIIST (National Institute of Inter Disciplinary Science and Technology) and faculty abroad.
International and National visiting/guest faculty from the Food Processing and Preservation sector as well as the experienced faculty of the institute would be sharing their knowledge, information, experience, technology with students. LMIHMCT organizes industrial visits and internship programme in each semester. These industrial visits are related to the subjects of the curriculum which emphasize on the practical knowledge and skill development. Industrial experts, as well as academicians, are invited for seminars and discussion on novel techniques used in food processing. Experts from various backgrounds are invited to empower the students on topics such as food technology aspects and placements in industry. The efficient placement cell ensures job for the qualified students through campus placements. Hostel facilities are also enabled. Transportation facility is provided for the students from every nook and corner of Trivandrum district on all working days.
